As taken from a CROWN Service & Parts Catalog . . . All vehicles manufactured by the Motor Coach Division of Crown Coach Corporation have a Vehicle Record plate in the drivers compartment on the dash panel, centered. The information on the plate is needed in registering the vehicle for licensing purposes and for ordering replacement parts. The following section will give a brief idea on how the make/model numbers were assigned on Crown Supercoaches. The number in the upper left box is the Make or Model Number. 2AD-743-11-1.5AC This group of numbers and letters indicates the engine location, number of rear axles or if engine is diesel (School Coaches did not use the "D" in their make/model number).
